The UK has unveiled its new Telecommunications Security Bill which bans the Chinese firm Huawei’s participation in the UK’s 5G mobile network. Companies which fail to meet the deadlines to purge Huawei equipment from their networks and adhere to higher security requirements could face enormous fines — up to 10 percent of turnover, or more than £100,000 per day.
